Portugal: Candidates and songs announced!

RTP has just published the names of the 10 participants to compete at Festival da Cançao 2014:

1. Rui Andrade – Ao teu encontro (Marc Paelinck)
2. Suzy – Quero ser tua (como a lua é do luar) (Emanuel)
3. Zana – Nas asas da sorte (Jan Van Dijk/Paulo Abreu Lima)
4. Raquel Guerra –  Sonhos roubados (Nuno Feist/Nuno Marques da Silva)
5. Catarina Pereira – Mea culpa (Andrej Babic/Carlos Coelho)
6. Madalena Trabuco – Coração de filigrana (Tozé Santos)
7. Lara Afonso – O teu segredo (João Matos/Miguel Ferrador)
8. Ricardo Alfonso – Emoção (Ricardo Alfonso/Luis Fernando/Rui Fingers)
9. Carla Ribeiro – Mais para dar (Hélder Godinho/Marina Ferraz)
10. Ivo Lucas – Eu vou (João Só)

There are some familiar names who have already taken part in previous editions including the runner-up 2010 Catarina Pereira or Rui Andrade (2011).

Portuguese semi-final for Eurovision 2014 will take place on March 8 while the national final is set on March 15, the shows will be aired live from the “Convento do Beato”.
