Singer Mimicat has won the Portuguese national final, “Festival da Canção 2023”, which means that she will represent Portugal in the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 in Liverpool, United Kingdom. Mimicat will sing the song “Ai Coração”.
About Festival da Canção 2023
The Grand Final of the Portuguese national final, “Festival da Canção 2023”, took place on Saturday March 11th 2023 in the capital city of Portugal, Lisbon. The televised show was hosted by Filomena Cautela and Vasco Palmeirim. In the Grand Final 13 acts took the stage, all competing to represent Portugal in this year’s contest. Before the Grand Final there were two Semi-finals.

The winner of Festival da Canção 2023 was decided by 50% televoting and 50% professional jury.
Portugal’s Mimicat will perform in the first half of the first Semi-final on May 9th 2023.
The Eurovision Song Contest 2023 will take place on May 9th, 11th, and 13th 2023 in Liverpool, United Kingdom. 37 countries will compete for the crown. This year’s Eurovision Song Contest will be a joint venture, since last year’s winner Ukraine cannot organize the contest on home soil because of the ongoing war with Russia.
