Greece 2023: Victor Vernicos releases “What They Say”

Victor Vernicos, this year’s Greek representant, has released his 2023 Eurovision entry, “What They Say”. Victor was internally chosen by multiple committees of ERT, the Greek national broadcaster.

The entry “What They Say”

Victor Vernicos’ entry, “What They Say”, was revealed during “Two in 1” on the Greek national broadcaster, ERT, on March 12th 2023. Victor was internally selected by multiple committees and an audience panel.

The official music video of the song, “What They Say”, was directed by Yiannis Georgioudakis, to some also known as PickCodes. The song has multiple producers: Kostas Kalimeris, Steve Sovolos and Vangelis Yialamas.

The Stage Director of this year’s act is Konstatinos Rigos, he staged multiple Greek Eurovision acts in the past, in 2011 and 2012.

About Victor Vernicos

Victor Vernicos was proposed to enter the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 for Greece by PANIK Records. Victor is only 16 years of age, and he is half-Greek and half-Danish. Victor has been on-stage since he was only four years young, and he released his first single when he was only 14. Victor Vernicos is the youngest representative of Greece ever.

Eurovision 2023

Greece’s Victor Vernicos will perform in the first half of the second Semi-final on May 11th 2023.

The Eurovision Song Contest 2023 will take place on May 9th, 11th, and 13th 2023 in Liverpool, United Kingdom. 37 countries will compete for the crown. This year’s Eurovision Song Contest will be a joint venture, since last year’s winner Ukraine cannot organize the contest on home soil because of the ongoing war with Russia.
