Tu bije Serce Europy 2023!Wybieramy hit na Eurowizję! Mechanics

As in the last edition, the final of Tu bije Serce Europy 2023!Wybieramy hit na Eurowizję! has had a participation of 10 musical proposals, which have been performed live, after passing the screening of almost 300 proposals received. Unlike last year where the final consisted of two rounds, this year we have only had one round of voting where an expert jury composed of four people from the musical world has 50% of the weight of the vote. The other 50% goes to the public who, through phone calls, have voted for their favorite from home and with a maximum of 20 votes per person. The sum of the two parts of the vote has given the winner of Tu bije serce Europy! 2023 that in case of a tie, the balance will go to the proposal that has obtained more votes from the professional jury.

POLAND AT THE EUROVISION SONG CONTEST

The country made its debut at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1994 together with other Eastern European countries. The year of their debut was the year that brought the best result for the country in the contest as they obtained a magnificent second position with the song “To nie ja!” performed by Edyta Górniak. In 2000 and 2002, Poland was relegated due to poor results in the previous years.

From 1994 to 2011 the country only managed to place only once in the top ten, namely in 2003 with the song “Keine Grenzen-Żadnych granic” by Ich Troje where they achieved a seventh place. In 2012 and 2013 the country withdrew from the contest due to lack of budget.

Last year, Ochman with the song “River”, managed to qualify for the final of the Contest, something that had not happened since the 2017 edition. The Pole started as one of the favorites of the edition and finished in 12th place in the grand final with 151 points.
