Official: 41 countries to compete at Eurovision 2020

EBU has just revealed the list of participants for the next edition of the Eurovision Song Contest in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. 41 countries will take part in the competition, which sees the return of Bulgaria and Ukraine, and two withdrawals.

As it has been rumoured over the last weeks, Hungary and Montenegro won’t take part at Eurovision 2020, which will take place on May 12, 14 and 16 at Rotterdam’s Ahoy.

Jon Ola Sand, Executive Supervisor of the Eurovision Song Contest, said: “We can’t wait to “open up” to participants from 41 countries in Rotterdam next year.”

The team from NPO, NOS and AVROTROS have three fantastic state-of-the-art shows planned and the excitement around the event in the Netherlands is incredible.”
