Norway: Kristin Husøy is the next finalist of Melodi Grand Prix

Tonight in Norway, we saw the third of the five heats which each will qualify an entry to join the five pre-selected finalists for Melodi Grand Prix 2020. Four acts faced off in duels once again, until a winner was crowned.

Central Norway is on display tonight as the region is the focus for the contestants in this heat. Melodi Grand Prix will tour us through the various regions of Norway across the next five weeks before arriving at a winner.

THE DUELS – ROUND 1

  • Alexandru – Pink Jacket
  • Sie Gubba – Kjære du

In the first duel, Alexandru went up again Sie Gubba. On this round, the public voting decided that the song selected to take part in the final duel of the night would be “Kjære du” by Sie Gubba.

The second duel is Thomas Løseth vs Kristin Husøy

  • Thomas Løseth – Vertigo
  • Kristin Husøy – Pray for Me

On this second duel, the public voting decided that the song selected to take part in the final duel of the night would be “Pray for Me” by Kristin Husøy.

AKUVI PERFORMS

Each week we will not only see four songs battle it out for a spot in the final, but we will also see one of the pre-determined jury finalists debut their entries. Tonight, we got to see Akuvi performing ‘Som du er’.

FINAL DUEL

  • Sie Gubba – Kjære du
  • Kristin Husøy – Pray for Me

Kjære du, as stated by our friend Mandy from ESCnorge would be the song that every Norwegian, age independently, would vote. But surprisingly, the finalist is Kristin Husøy with the song “Pray for Me”.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
