On Saturday 15 March 2025 this year’s Dutch entrant, Claude, sang his Eurovision entry, “C’est la vie”, live during a special broadcast of popular Dutch talk-show, “Eva”. For the occasion the name of the show was changed to “Eva x Claude”.

Claude, this year’s entrant of the Netherlands in the Eurovision Song Contest, sang his song, “C’est la vie”, live for the first time during a special broadcast of the Dutch talk-show, “Eva”, which is hosted by famed Dutch presenter, Eva Jinek. During this show there were performances by former (Dutch) Eurovision entrants, in this regard also Austrian 2014 Eurovision winner, Conchita Wurst, sang her winning entry, “Rise like a phoenix”. Claude got the chance to tell about his life, his entry, but he also got the chance to ask former contestants questions about dos and don’ts during Eurovision.
About Claude
Claude Kiambe, known as Claude, is a Dutch singer of Congolese-Kinshasan descent who sings mainly in Dutch and French. In 2013, he fled Congo at age nine with his mother and six siblings, settling in a refugee camp in Alkmaar, where his love for music began. Later, he moved to Enkhuizen, where he finished high school.
His breakthrough came in 2017 after winning a local talent show, followed by participation in The Voice Kids (2019) and Are You Next?, the latter securing him a record deal. In 2022, his debut single Ladada (Mon Dernier Mot) topped the Dutch charts and gained recognition in Belgium, influenced by his idol Stromae. He was set to open for Stromae in 2023, but the tour was canceled due to Stromae’s health issues.
In 2024, Claude completed his first club tour, appeared on Beste Zangers, and released his debut album Parler français. He had previously hinted at a Eurovision bid, and today, he was officially announced as the Netherlands’ representative for Eurovision 2025.
Eurovision 2025
The Eurovision Song Contest 2025 will be held in Basel, Switzerland, at the Jakobshalle. The contest will take place on May 13, 15, and 17 2025.
