Today, Teleradio Moldova has kicked off their search for the Moldovan representative for the Eurovision Song Contest 2019. From today until January 18, singers will be able to submit their songs for the Moldovan selection process for Tel Aviv.
O Melodie Pentru Europa, the national final selection show, will take place March 2 and 3. A semi-final is scheduled for March 2nd preceding the final. Last year, a semi-final was also scheduled but ended up being scrapped.
Moldova is coming off of two very successful entries at Eurovision over the past two years. This year in Lisbon DoReDos finished 10th with ‘My Lucky Day.’ In Kiev in 2017, Sunstroke Project finished third with ‘Hey Mamma’ and holds the record for Moldova’s highest placing in Eurovision. Will the top 10 streak continue in Tel Aviv? Stay tuned for contestant information and further updates.
