The Moldovan national broadcaster, TRM, has announced that 2 entries have been disqualified from the Moldovan national final, Etapa Naţională.
Etapa Naţională
Two entries have been disqualified from Etapa Naţională, the Moldovan national final, this was announced by TRM, the national broadcaster of Moldova. These two acts are the following:
- NÖRDIKA: The song of this act was already published online on February 8th 2012. The name of the song is “Squeeze Paradise”, which is not allowed.
- Massimo Sinceri and DA-MUSE: Because of the citizenship of the particpants, because the rules of Etapa Naţională state that at least 50% of the singers in a group must have Moldovan citizenship.
Instead of 33 songs the Moldovan national final will now have 31 acts participating in Etapa Naţională on January 28th 2023.

- Sunstroke Project: The guys of Sunstroke Project also represented Moldova in 2010, with the song “Run Away”, and in 2017 with the song “Hey Mamma!”. In 2017 the ended 3rd in the Grand Final.
- Aliona Moon: Participated for Moldova before in the contest of 2013 with the song “O Mie”, finishing 11th in the Grand Final.
- Pasha Parfeny: Came out for Moldova in the contest of 2012, and finished 11th in the Grand Final.
How Etapa Naţională works
Below you can find how Etapa Naţională works.
The qualifiers of the live auditions will be determined by a jury of 3-5 professionals. The audition round will take place on January 28th 2023. The results of this audition round will be made public on the same day at 19:30 local time in a TV show on Moldova 1. Just 10 entrants will get a ticket to the national final of Moldova’s Etapa Naţională.
The Moldovan final will be held on a yet to be disclosed date between February 25th and March 5th 2023. The final of Etapa Naţională will be broadcast live on Moldova 1 and online. The winner will be chosen by 50% professional voting and 50% public televoting.
Eurovision 2022
In the Eurovision Song Contest of 2022 Moldova was represented by Zdob și Zdub and Advahov Brothers with the song “Trenulețul“. They finished 8th in Semi-final 1, and in the Grand Final they came in 7th.
