In the Moldovan national final there are a couple of honourable mentions:
- Aliona Moon, Sunstroke Project, and Pasha Parfeni have all represented Moldova in the Eurovision Song Contest before.
- The song of Corina Ivanov, “When Love’s Real”, is co-written by Mia Nicolai who will represent the Netherlands this year, together with Dion Cooper.

The live Grand Final of Etapa Naţională 2023, the Moldovan national final, will be broadcast on March 4th 2023. The winner will be selected by 50% televoting and 50% by a professional jury.
Eurovision 2022
In the Eurovision Song Contest of 2022 Moldova was represented by Zdob și Zdub and Advahov Brothers with the song “Trenulețul“. They finished 8th in Semi-final 1, and in the Grand Final they came in 7th.
