Moldova 2023: It is Pasha Parfeni for Eurovision 2023!

It is singer Sasha Parfeni who has won the Moldovan national final, also known as “Etapa națională 2023” with the song “Soarele şi luna” (trans. “The Sun and the Moon”). Sasha will represent Moldova in the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 in Liverpool, United Kingdom.

Etapa națională 2023

The national Grand Final of Moldova took place in the capital of this country, Chișinău. Ten acts competed for the crown and the right to represent Moldova in this year’s Eurovision Song Contest.

The winner was chosen by 50% professional jury voting and 50% public votes. It was the first time ever that the Moldovan public could cast their votes online.

In the end it was Sasha Parfeni who got the maximum points of both the professional jury and the public.

Eurovision 2023

Moldova’s Pasha Parfeni will perform in the second half of the first Semi-Final on May 9th 2023.

The Eurovision Song Contest 2023 will take place on May 9th, 11th, and 13th 2023 in Liverpool, United Kingdom. 37 countries will compete for the crown. This year’s Eurovision Song Contest will be a joint venture, since last year’s winner Ukraine cannot organize the contest on home soil because of the ongoing war with Russia.
