Iceland 2023: It is Diljá for Eurovision 2023!

Diljá will represent Iceland in the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest in Liverpool, United Kingdom, with the song “Power”. Yesterday Diljá won the Icelandic national final, “Söngvakeppnin 2023”.

Söngvakeppnin 2023

Yesterday 5 acts battled it out on-stage during the national Grand Final of Iceland, also known as “Söngvakeppnin 2023”. Five acts competed to represent Iceland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 in Liverpool, United Kingdom.

During this national final, there were two voting moments; the first round was with 50% professional jury and 50% televoting. In this first round 2 acts progressed to a Super Final. In the Super Final the winner was chosen by 100% televoting.

  3. Celebs – Doomsday Dancing
  4. Diljá – Power
  5. Langi Seli og Skuggarnir – OK

Eurovision 2023

Iceland’s Diljá will compete in the first half of the second Semi-final on May 11th 2023.

The Eurovision Song Contest 2023 will take place on May 9th, 11th, and 13th 2023 in Liverpool, United Kingdom. 37 countries will compete for the crown. This year’s Eurovision Song Contest will be a joint venture, since last year’s winner Ukraine cannot organize the contest on home soil because of the ongoing war with Russia.
