Martina Crv will represent San Marino at Junior Eurovision 2025 with ‘Beyond the Stars’

The 12-year-old singer will take the ballad ‘Beyond the Stars’ to Georgia, strengthening San Marino’s commitment to emerging talent in Junior Eurovision.

San Marino shines once again in the Eurovision universe. The young artist Martina Cervellin, known by her stage name Martina Crv, has been selected by the San Marinese public broadcaster (RTV) to represent the Most Serene Republic at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2025, which will take place on December 13 in Tbilisi, Georgia. At just twelve years old, the performer will take to the stage with the song “Beyond the Stars”, a proposal with which the small state nestled in the heart of Italy hopes to leave its mark on the youth competition.

Martina Crv is no stranger to the European music scene. In 2024, the young singer impressed by reaching the European final of the Tour Music Fest, a prestigious artistic competition held in San Marino, where she was awarded the title of Best European Youth Singer 2024. She also received a special mention from the renowned conductor and music producer Beppe Vessicchio, a leading figure in Italian music.

Her promising career had begun a year earlier, when she took part in RAI’s program “The Voice Kids”, reaching the semifinals and standing out for the vocal maturity and artistic sensitivity she conveyed in every performance. With guitar in hand and a voice capable of moving both audiences and critics alike.

A carefully crafted selection process

The choice of Martina Crv was no coincidence. RTV San Marino organized in August a selection process among several young talents of the Republic, with the aim of giving visibility to the country’s new generations of artists. After several rounds of auditions, Martina’s voice emerged as the ideal option to represent San Marino in Georgia.

Although San Marino is one of the smallest states on the continent, its participation in Junior Eurovision reflects a clear cultural strategy: strengthening its artistic profile and establishing itself as a relevant player within European music. For RTV San Marino, betting on talents like Martina is a way to showcase the vitality of the youth scene and, at the same time, project the image of the country beyond its borders.

The song that Martina will perform is titled “Beyond the Stars”, a deeply emotional piece in which the young artist will be able to display the interpretative maturity that has opened doors for her on European stages from a very early age.

The country’s decision to participate comes in a context marked by recent debates about the voting system, considered by some as unfair to microstates, which often start at a disadvantage compared to countries with larger populations and diasporas. “Today we communicated our participation to the EBU, despite the discussions, which arose in a constructive spirit, about the critical issues related to the voting system and the ‘penalizing’ treatment reserved for the smaller participating states. At the same time, we reiterate our hope that the EBU will consider future revisions and improvements aimed at ensuring greater fairness and representation for all countries,”
