Interesting result facts
• Medina’s final placement means that Sami Rekik is participating in the final for the fifth consecutive year in a prominent role – a tied record in the history of Melodifestivalen together with Nick Borgen, who competed as an artist from 1993 to 1997. Sami Rekik has competed as an artist in 2022, 2024 and 2026, served as announcer in the opening number “Flaggparad Balkan”, 2023 and performed the interval act “Genom Eld & Vatten”, 2025.
• Medina has now gone directly to the final from their heat three times in a row, something that Ace Wilder, David Lindgren, Dotter, Sanna Nielsen and Wiktoria have also done.
• Medina’s place in the final means that the final now has two songs in Swedish. It is the first time since 2023 that the final has had more than one song in Swedish.
• Among the songwriters in the heat, Dino Medanhodzic was the only one competing with two entries, and both of his songs, Medina and Saga Ludvigsson, also advanced in the competition. Since both reached the final, Medanhodzic now has three songs in the final, which is half of the entries in the final lineup so far.
