Malta: MESC semifinalists to be announced tonight

Maltese broadcaster TVM will announce the 20 semifinalists of their national selection for Eurovision 2015 tonight. The decision will be revealed to artists and audience live on TVM’s Xarabank at 20.50h.

The semifinalists will be chosen among 48 participants selected. Some past Maltese representatives will be trying to make a “come-back”; that is the case of Gianluca Bezzina (2013), Glen Vella (2011), Ludwig Galea (2004), Olivia Lewis (2007) and Miriam Christine (1995). Other very known participants are Daniel Testa, the last year’s runner-up and Junior Eurovision representative 2008 and the last year’s favourite Jessica Muscat.

The Maltese selection for Eurovision 2015 will be formed by a semifinal set on November 21 and a grand final on November 22, the shows will take place in the Malta Shipbuilding located in Marsa (Junior Eurovision 2014 venue). 14 qualifiers out 20 semi-finalists will compete in the grand final and the winner will be selected by a mix of jury and public televote. The most curious act to compete at this year’s MESC is a group of nuns who will be trying to represent Malta in Vienna.
