It has been 30 years since Luxembourg’s attempted to win the Eurovision crown when the duchy
competes again in 2024. Last week auditions to find Luxembourg’s next contestant kicked off.
First phase of national selection
On Saturday, July 22nd 2023, a first casting round was held at the Rockhal in Esch-sur-Alzette in the country of Luxembourg. This casting round was especially meant for singers who have applied without a song; approx. 100 singers came to audition in this specific category.
A professional jury judged the performers regarding their performances; the best performers move on to the Luxembourgian national final on January 27th 2024, which will also take place in the Rockhal in Esch-sur-Alzette.
The submission window for acts that also have a song ready is still open.
