Luxembourg 2024: It is Tali for Luxembourg!

Tonight the first ever edition of the “Luxembourg Song Contest” was being held in the Rockhal in Esc-sur-Alzette in Luxembourg. Eight acts took the stage, but it was eventually Tali with the song “Fighter” who will represent Luxembourg in the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 in Malmö (Sweden).

Special about this event is that Tali will represent Luxembourg after a hiatus of 31 years that this country competed in Eurovision for the last time.

Luxembourg Song Contest 2024

The Luxembourg Song Contest 2024 had a special set-up in which a total of eight acts took the stage. After a first round during which all eight acts performed live, three acts were chosen to enter a super final, which was not live, but based on the recap song videos.

8 Acts of the first round

Below you can find the 8 acts that performed in the first round in order of performance. Out of these 3 acts proceeded to a super final.

  1. Joel Marques – Believer (super final)
  2. Edsun – Finally Alive
  3. Naomi Ayé – Paumée sur terre
  4. Angy & Rafa Ela – Drop
  5. One Last Time – Devil in the Detail
  6. Krick – Drowning in the Rain (super final)
  7. CHAiLD – Hold On
  8. Tali – Fighter (super final)

3 Acts of the super final

In the super final 3 acts competed, and they were judged by an (inter)national professional jury (50%) and public voting (50%).

  1. Tali – Fighter (94 + 84 =  178)
  2. Krick – Drowning in the Rain (80 + 85 = 165)
  3. Joel Marques – Believer (66 + 70 = 136)

This means that Tali won the (inter)national jury vote, and Krick won the public vote. All added up it is Tali who will fly the Luxembourg flag in Malmö (Sweden).

Tali Golergant is a 23-year old singer, who originates from Israel, but she was born and raised in the duchy of Luxembourg. She is a professional in both pop music, but also musicals. Next to this, Tali is a vocal coach and music teacher. Tali started making music at the age of 16, and now she will go to Malmö (Sweden) to represent Luxembourg in the Eurovision Song Contest.
