As the Eurovizija.LT 2024 journey continues with four more semi-finals, anticipation is building for the final show on February 17. The Švyturio Arena will continue to be where Lithuania’s Eurovision destiny will be sealed by the televote and juries, ending the journey towards finding Lithuania’s representative for Eurovision 2024 in Sweden.
What is the mechanism of Eurovizija.LT 2024?
The winner will be chosen jointly and equally between the jury and televoting from the semifinal phase, with a simpler process than in Pabandom Iš Naujo. Following the Eurovision mechanism, 12 points will be awarded to the most voted and 1 point to the tenth position, revealing the results at the end of the gala. As a novelty, TV judges will not comment on the performances, and their scores will be given collectively, without breakdown, at the end of the gala with votes from 12 to 1.
In the semifinals, where 8 artists will participate in each, the top 2 voted participants will qualify for the final, where the mechanism will vary slightly. In that final, the three entries with the highest scores from the combination of jury and televoting will advance to the Super Final, where the decision of the Lithuanian representative in Malmö will be exclusively determined by televoting.
It is important to emphasize that, in case of a tie in points, the winner of the jury vote will prevail over televoting.
