Azerbaijani public broadcaster, Ictimai, has released earlier today its song to represent the Caucasian country at the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest. The song is titled tit Cleopatra ‘and will be performed by Samira Efendi. The proposal has been presented on the official YouTube channel of the contest.

Azerbaijani public television Ictimai Television revealed last January that singer Samira Efendi will be their representative in Eurovision 2020. The election of Samira has been carried out internally by the public entity among the other five options that were on the table:
- Samira Efendi
- Laman Dadasheva
- Elvin Novruzov
- Jabrail Rasulov
- Riad Abdulov
This is the fifth attempt of the singer to represent the country at the contest. She has experience representing the country, as he did in Silk Way Star, a contest with participants from Central Asia, Russia, Azerbaijan and Turkey.
Samira Efendi finished in 3rd position in ‘The Voice of Azerbaijan’ in which she participated, and has recently represented the country at the Nur-Sultan International Voice Festival in Kazakhstan.
