The second heat of the Latvian selection “Supernova” has just come to an end and four more acts have made it to the semi-final:
The show, live from Riga, has been hosted by Ketija Šēnberga and Toms Grēviņš. The four lucky acts will join last week’s qualifiers in the semi-final to take place on February 15.
The line-up is as it follows:
- Antra Stafecka – It’s the Night
- Framest – Ziemā
- MNTHA – Nefelibata
- ElektroFolk – Sundance
- Markus Riva “Take Me Down”
- Aminata “Love Injected”
- Rihards Bērziņš “Your Eyes”
- Euphony “Home”
Two out four qualifiers have been selected by the audience while the other two have been chosen by a professional jury made up of four members: Dons (singer and songwriter who came second in the Latvian selections of 2010 and 2014), Kaspars Roga (Latvian drummer in Eurovision 2000), Guntars Račs (musician, songwriter, producer and publisher) and Ieva Kerēvica (singer and vocal coach). However, the eliminated acts can still get a place in the next show since the jury can choose one of the non-qualified songs and make it qualify instead of another one.
At the national final on February 22, only the audience will decide who will represent Latvia in Eurovision in two voting rounds, including a superfinal, held on the same show.
Supernova will continue looking for the best song to represent Latvia in Eurovision 2015 at next Sunday’s semi-final set at 20:20 CET.
