Lithuania has chosen! Katarsis will fly the country’s flag at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 in Basel, Switzerland, after winning the grand final of Eurovizija.LT 2025. The band triumphed in the superfinal, defeating strong competition from Liepa and Lion Ceccah.
Eurovizija.LT 2025: Lithuania’s journey to Eurovision
LRT, the Lithuanian national broadcaster, hosted the grand final of Eurovizija.LT 2025 at the Žalgirio Arena in Kaunas, the largest indoor venue in Lithuania. This year’s revamped national selection spanned six consecutive weeks, featuring a total of six shows to determine the country’s representative for Eurovision 2025.
A total of 10 artists competed in the final, each vying for the coveted ticket to Basel. The voting process consisted of two rounds. In the first round, a combination of jury and public votes (each accounting for 50% of the total score) determined the three superfinalists: Katarsis, Liepa, and Lion Ceccah. The second round was an exclusive public vote, where Katarsis emerged victorious with their song “Tavo Akys”, earning them the honor of representing Lithuania in Eurovision 2025.
