Junior Eurovision 2015 most likely not to take place in Italy

According to some rumours, the decision regarding the issue of RAI hosting the 13th Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Italy will be officially public in a few days and will most likely be ‘NO’.

After the Junior Eurovision 2014 held in Malta, last November 2014, due to Vincenzo Cantiello taking the first place with ‘Tu Primo Grande Amore’, Italian public broadcaster RAI, was asked to host it during the Winner Press Conference right after the contest, were the answer was not clear and speculations on Bulgaria or even Malta hosting again were made.

Now, after 2 months of meetings, the staff working on it are most preferable on declining the chance to take the contest to Italy rather than accepting, even though RAI Gulp decided to say ‘YES’, most of the troubles seem to be the budget to broadcast and organizing the show, even though it does not require such a large amount of money like the senior Eurovision, it would not be possible to air it on RAI Gulp, cause viewing figures are not used to reach 1% of share, and it would cost much more to do it on the main channels RAI 1,2 or either 3.

So the question is, will the contest be received in Bulgaria? Have they withdrawn once again from the Eurovision to host the Junior in November?

The answer will be known in due time, so stay tuned to ESC+Plus for further information about it!
