New features
The contest will also feature performances by last year’s winner Anastasiya Petryk, as well as co-host and successful Eurovision Malmo 2013 place-getter Zlata Ognevich. New format elements have been introduced this year to celebrate the competition’s second decade. Innovations include introducing first, second and third prizes, having the children conduct their own draw for the order they perform in on the show, inviting kids’ jury members to appear live on stage in Kyiv to announce the results and the winner being given the opportunity to participate at the Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen 2014.

Our team has been working hard on bringing all of our ideas to life so that it will create a fairytale atmosphere that will not only be a wonderful experience for the children in the show, but for everyone watching,” says Oleksandr Panteleimonov, Director General of NTU. “This will be the biggest event that the National Palace of Arts Ukraina has ever seen.”

The two hour contest will be broadcast on 30th November 2013 and is suitable for all audiences. Contestants perform live on stage in front of millions of viewers watching on television or via online media streams, with prizes awarded to the singers who come in first, second and third place.
