AVRO has just revealed Jan Smit will host the Dutch Junior Eurovision national selection for the second year in a row!
The popular Dutch singer and presenter debuted as host of Junior Songfestival last year after Ewout Genemans withdrew the contest to be involved in other projects.
“I am very happy to host this event because it combines my two passions: music and hosting. I have been Dutch commentator of the adult version a few editions but, the Junior version is particularly funny!”, stated Jan Smith.
Jan supplied commentary at the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest in Düsseldorf. In 2012, Smit hosted the Eurovision Song Contest national final and again was a commentator during the Eurovision finals in Baku. He hosted the 2014 season of Junior Songfestival and he also was the Dutch commentator from Malta.
