After some rumours, the Azerbaijani entrant for this year’s Eurovision has been revealed. The 21-year-old singer Samra Rahimli will represent “The Land Of Fire” in Stockholm! The song she will perform on stage is called ”Miracle” and will be presented at any point this weekend.
Samra Rahimli may be a familiar face for the Eurovision fans, as she already tried her luck to represent Azerbaijan in 2012 on home soil. Since then, the young singer has taken part in the Turkish and Azerbaijani versions of The Voice, making it through to the semi-finals and final respectively.
The Azerbaijani representative for the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 was internally chosen by ITV and an opinion survey of more than 100 music and television industry experts, and Eurovision fans from over 35 European countries.
