Eurovision Eurovision 2016 Armenia

It’s Iveta Mukuchyan for Armenia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2016!

A few minutes ago, ARMTV revealed who they have chosen to wave the Armenian flag at the Eurovision Song Contest 2016; we can proudly report that it is no other than 28-year-old model and singer Iveta Mukuchyan (turning 29 tomorrow)! Despite all the rumours through the past weeks, she has finally been selected and will sing for the country in front of 15.000 people inside Stockholm’s Globe Arena.

Last September, ARMTV in cooperation with the official YouTube channel of the contest uploaded a video where we could easily learn that the artist selected was clearly a soloist woman. The announcement was set, today at 19:15 (local time – 17:15 CET) during the ”Profession of a Journalist” TV show.

Iveta was born in Yerevan. She moved to Germany in 1992 with her family and went to school there. In 2010 she competed in Hay Superstar where she ended up in 5th place and later on competed in theThe Voice of Germany in 2012, where she did perform the winning song from Eurovision 2012, “Euphoria” in her first blind audition. In December 2012 she was announced as the hottest woman in Armenia by El Style magazine.

Details about the song she will be performing have not trascended yet, to be revealed in the next few months, cause ARMTV will launch a contest for songwriters in order to make a song for Iveta.

Listen to a couple of songs she already released in the past!
