Italy: Sanremo Giovanni narrows field to 25

A total of twenty-five artists have been selected from the Area Sanremo Academy to take part in the next stage of the Sanremo Giovani auditions.  The field was narrowed from the 76 previously in the competition.  Sanremo Giovani gives the chance to two performers, under the age of 36 to advance to the San Remo festival in 2019.

San Remo Giovani will be held in December with the two winners being announced on 20th and 21st of December.

Last year, the winner of the “Nuove Proposte”/Newcomers category was Ultimo with “Il ballo delle incertezze.”

Contestants still in the running for the San Remo Giovani spots are:

  • Anthony & Vittorio Conte (Duo) – Storie
  • Rosanna Altieri – Vado via
  • Gianluca Giagnorio – Malavoglia

  • Giulia Vestri – Abbraccia il mondo
  • Giovanni Segreti Bruno – L’amore non fa per me
  • Francesca Miola – Amarsi non serve
  • Mariarca Panìco – L’indispensabile
  • Francesco Brunelli Goji – Come va (adesso bene)
  • Deschema (Band) – Cristallo
  • Valentina Martucci – Non ti far vedere da me
  • Adabell (Duo) – Questa è la mia realtà (Ada e Annabell Olivieri)
  • Fedrix & Flaw (Duo) – L’impresa
  • Mescalina (Band) – Chiamami amore adesso
