Changes announced:

A few days ago, RAI revealed some changes for the 68th edition of Sanremo Music Festival. This year the broadcaster will cooperate with record labels, as they will be able to suggest artists to compete in the Italian show. Submissions for candidates will be open until the 6th of October and can be sent through this link.

Besides, the live shows will be hosted by Claudio Baglioni, so he will not only direct the shows artistically, but he will also take Carlo Conti‘s leading role in 2018. The Italian musician will be joined by a guest host each night.

Francesco Gabbani represented Italy at the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 with the song Occidentali’s Karma. Despite being the favourite to win the competition, she ended 6th at the Grand Final.
