The winner of the festival

The winner of the festival will be chosen the same way as during the years before. Next to this, the winner is the first to be asked to represent Italy in the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 in Malmö (Sweden). The winner does not have to represent Italy, as the Sanremo Festival is seen as a national singing competition, and not necessarily a national Eurovision final.

Eurovision 2023

In the Eurovision Song Contest of 2023 Italy was represented by Marco Mengoni with the song “Due Vite”, achieving a great 4th place (of 26) in the Grand Final, as Italy does not have to compete in the Semi-finals, since it is a Big Five country.  Marco Mengoni represented Italy once before in 2013, ending in 7th place of 26 in that year’s Grand Final.
