Marco Mengoni and his song choice

In a newscast of the Italian national broadcaster, RAI, Marco Mengoni stated that he is very open to sing another song than “Due Vite” in the contest of 2023. Marco also mentioned that he has written other unreleased songs for his next album that could also be a perfect fit to perform on the Eurovision stage.

In case Marco does choose to perform “Due Vite”, the song has to be adjusted to bring it back to the allowed 3-minute running time that is allowed in the Eurovision Song Contest, which can change the song drastically. The song that he wants to perform needs to be handed in at the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) by mid-March 2023.
