Is this the song Dutch S10 will sing in Turin?

Now that the Dutch know who their representative is going to be, the rumor mill to know what song she is going to sing in Turin is working overtime. We already know that the Dutch broadcaster’s commission of the AVROTROS chose to let S10 sing in Dutch, the language her music is known for up to now.

Could it be…

During Dutch TV shows the officially unreleased song “Dans mij naar huis” (trans. “Dance Me Home”) gets a lot of buzz. Somebody put a video of this song online after one of S10’s concerts back in September of this year. Since the song is unreleased officially, and it also fits the length of approx. 3 minutes, this song is a good contender to be the song that will represent the Netherlands during the Eurovision Song Contest 2022.

In the media

Dutch (music) media says that this song might just be the one, because it relates to the present work of S10, in which she does not rap, but sings. Next to this, the genre of music of this song is very electronic-heavy, which reminds Eurovision fans of the song of this year’s Ukrainian contestants Go_A, and their song “Shum”, but also of the Latvian Samanta Tina 2020 song “Still Breathing”. Since the song will be in Dutch, which is not for every Eurovision nation ideal to grasp, the Dutch song of 2022 might be somewhat more about the music, and less about the lyrics. Nobody is for sure though, except for the Dutch selection commission of the AVROTROS.

Different than other years

News also came out that S10 and her management team came up with a full-fletched performance already during the song audition process, and that this was one of the reasons why the commission chose S10 to represent the Dutch in 2022. S10 is known for her special, artistic performances in which i.e. taking off clothing stands for the layers of S10’s personality as a person and an artist.

Not sure

Many things are being said, but we do not know for sure which song S10 will bring to the stage in Turin. Her participation is an exciting one for the Dutch, since it will be sung in their own language, and the genre of music might be something different than we are used to from the Netherlands in the past. Needless to say that ESCplus will keep you updated about all things S10, and much more, when there are updates available.
