About the entry “We Are One”

About the Irish entry “We Are One” we can say that the song is written and composed by band members Connor O’Donohoe and Ed Porter, together with Jörgen Elofson; the latter wrote hits like: Kelly Clarkson’s “Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You)”, and “(You Drive Me) Crazy” by Britney Spears.

About the band Wild Youth

Wild Youth was born in the capital of Ireland, Dublin, back in 2016. The band consists of four band members: David Whelan (vocals/guitar), Conor O’Donohoe (keyboards/vocals), Ed Porter (guitar/vocals) and Callum McAdam (drums). Wild Youth won the Irish national Eurovision selection, “Eurosong 2023”, with the maximum points of the Irish jury and the public vote, but came in second with the international jury.

ESCplus interviewed Wild Youth

About a week ago ESCplus’ reporter, Denis, had the chance to interview one of the band members, and co-writer of this year’s entry “We Are One”, Ed Porter. We had the chance to ask Edgar about all sorts of everything, from his personal thoughts about the contest up to what the band, Wild Youth, means to him, and everything in-between.
