MTVA has announced changes in the line-up for the final of A Dal 2019. The broadcaster has revealed that the competing act Petruska has been disqualified due to plagiarism accusations of his song ‘Help me out of here’.
Host Freddie, who represented Hungary at Eurovision 2016, has revealed that the Hungarian broadcaster has decided to rule Petruska off from the final as his entry breaches the rules of A Dal. The candidate was competing in the national selection with the song ‘Help me out of here’, which has been proved to be plagiarism of Vampire Weekend‘s track ‘White Sky’.
Petruska will be replaced by Gergő Oláh, and his song ‘Hozzád bújnék’, in the Hungarian final that will take place on Saturday, February 23rd.
So, the line-up for the final of A Dal 2019 is as follows:
