At last, we can hear the song with which Lucas Paulano will represent us at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2026. “Cuore Bello (Te Quiero, Te Quiero)” will be the entry with which he will seek Spain’s second victory in the competition.

The song faithfully reflects Lucas’ style, with a catchy touch whose main message revolves around the word “remember”, which in Latin means “to pass through the heart again.” Thus, the Latin word “recordari” is formed from the combination of the prefix re- (again, once more) and cor or cordis (heart).

The song is about how love is linked to memory, evoking the memories of our loved ones, whether they are still with us or no longer here, as a powerful source of inspiration, light and strength in our lives. Throughout the lyrics, Lucas moves us by reminding us that all those moments lived with these people encourage us to grow and become who we are or want to be.

“Cuore Bello (Te Quiero, Te Quiero)” is a song that once again embraces bilingualism and features phrases in other languages, just as in 2023 with Sandra Valero, when, in addition to Spanish, English, French, Italian and Portuguese were included; or last year, in 2025, with Gonzalo Pinillos and his “Érase Una Vez (Once Upon A Time)”, which featured parts in French and English.

The creation of the song was carried out by Dangelo, Blas Cantó, Spain’s representative at the Eurovision Song Contest 2021, and Carlos Almazán. In addition, Lucas Paulano himself also participated in the composition.

The song was premiered during a press conference at Studio 1 at Prado del Rey on September 28. Alongside Lucas Paulano, those attending included César Vallejo, head of the Spanish delegation, and María Eizaguirre, RTVE’s Director of Communications and Participation.

Lucas Paulano will take to the stage at the Malta Fairs & Conventions Centre in Ta’ Qali (Malta) on Saturday, October 24, where he will seek to maintain Spain’s strong track record in the competition. The young artist, winner of the tenth edition of ‘La Voz Kids’ in 2025, was announced as Spain’s representative at Eurovision Junior 2026 on the programme ‘El perro andaluz’, presented by comedian Manu Sánchez, on July 30, after being internally selected.

With his selection, this will be Spain’s 12th entry at Junior Eurovision. It will be an edition in which the country will once again attempt to take home the trophy. Lucas Paulano thus joins the successful list of Spanish representatives at the children’s contest, including Sergio (2003), María Isabel (2004), Antonio José (2005), Dani Fernández (2006), Melani García (2019), Soleá (2020), Levi Díaz (2021), Carlos Higes (2022), Sandra Valero (2023), Chloe DelaRosa (2024) and Gonzalo Pinillos (2025).

RTVE will premiere the music video for “Cuore Bello (Te Quiero, Te Quiero)” before ‘La Revuelta’

This Monday, September 28, marks a decisive moment for Spain’s entry at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2026. Following its premiere on RTVE Play, the Spanish broadcaster will present “Cuore Bello (Te Quiero, Te Quiero)”, the song with which Lucas Paulano will take to the Eurovision stage at the 24th edition of the contest, tonight before the broadcast of ‘La Revuelta’.

The entry can be watched across all RTVE channels at around 9:45 p.m. CEST, following the 2nd edition of ‘Telediario’ and before the start of David Broncano’s programme. In this way, the Spanish broadcaster is once again choosing to offer the official music video for its Junior Eurovision song during prime time, bringing the song closer to viewers.

As previously announced by those responsible for RTVE’s Eurovision project, following its television broadcast, the song “Cuore Bello (Te Quiero, Te Quiero)” will also be available on digital platforms.

Who is Lucas Paulano? Meet Spain’s representative at Junior Eurovision 2026

Lucas Paulano is a young 10-year-old singer from Jaén. In 2025, he rose to prominence after being crowned winner of the 10th edition of ‘La Voz Kids’, becoming, at the young age of 8, the youngest contestant to win the programme in Spain.

From a very young age, he showed great musical talent. His father, an amateur musician, was the one who taught him his first singing lessons and accompanied him with the guitar during many of his performances. Before appearing on television, he had barely performed in public, with a school performance on Peace Day being one notable exception.

In ‘La Voz Kids’, Lucas Paulano impressed from the Blind Auditions with his performance of “Luz De Luna” by Mexican singer Javier Solís, prompting several coaches to want him on their teams. He ultimately chose Manuel Turizo as his coach, with whom he continued to grow throughout the competition thanks to performances full of sensitivity and vocal quality.

In the Great Battle, he secured his place in the next stage with “Dígale” by David Bisbal. In the Knockouts, he earned a fast pass to the final stage. In the semifinal, he opted for the emotional song “Amor Eterno” by the late Rocío Dúrcal.

Daniel Ángelo, known professionally as Dangelo, is a singer and songwriter born in Gran Canaria. He began his career as a singer-songwriter in 2004 and, in 2007, joined the band L’Acoustiqué, with which he performed for numerous audiences and gained recognition in the Canary Islands.

In 2009, he decided to leave the group and begin a new chapter as an independent artist. That same year, he released his first single, titled “Tan Lejos.” In 2014, he released his debut album Lo mejor de mi, whose title track reached number one on the Canary Islands radio chart Click and Roll on Los 40. His second single, “Algo en qué creer,” also reached first place. In addition, he managed to sell all the copies of the album he had released independently.

In 2015, he moved to Madrid, where he also began to stand out as a songwriter for other artists. He has worked with performers such as Blas Cantó, Beatriz Luengo, Carlos Rivera and Edurne. In 2018, he received an important Latin Grammy nomination for his participation as a songwriter in the song “Aquí te espero,” performed by Beatriz Luengo and Carlos Rivera on the album Cuerpo y Alma. Blas Cantó (1991) is a singer and songwriter. From a very young age, he showed an interest in music and began to sing, taking part in different competitions. At just 8 years old, he won the children’s competition ‘Veo, Veo’, which helped him begin his artistic career.

In 2004, he took part in the programme ‘Eurojunior’, the legendary RTVE selection process for Junior Eurovision in 2004, where he finished in 2nd place with the song “Sentir.” Years later, in 2010, he joined the musical group Auryn. The group consisted of five young men and achieved great popularity in Spain. During his years in Auryn, Blas Cantó released several albums and performed numerous concerts.

In 2016, following the break-up of Auryn, Blas Cantó began his career as a solo singer. That same year, he released his first single, “In Your Bed,” and subsequently released his debut album Complicado. Thanks to his songs and his distinctive voice, he achieved great popularity in Spanish music.

Carlos Almazán is a Spanish music producer, songwriter and singer. His professional career is characterised by an all-encompassing vision of music, participating in both the creation and composition of songs as well as their production and artistic development.

From the beginning of his career, he was involved in performing, becoming part of musical projects such as QUARTTO, a Latin Pop group in which he served as vocalist and guitarist. Over time, he expanded his work into songwriting and production, establishing himself as a creator behind numerous projects by Spanish and Latin American artists.

Throughout his career, he has worked with artists such as Carlos Baute, Sergio Dalma, Ana Guerra, Zzoilo, Pitingo, Funambulista, Cepeda, Lorena Gómez and J Kbello, among others. Among his work, his participation as a producer and songwriter on songs by Marta Santos stands out, particularly “La Vida Entera,” a track that achieved gold and platinum certifications. He also produced five songs for Funambulista’s 180º project.

As a songwriter and producer, Carlos Almazán works mainly within pop and Latin music, although his experience incorporates different influences and sounds. His work seeks to enhance each artist’s identity and find the balance between a strong song and contemporary production.
