Here are the first three finalists of Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2020

This year, Danish television has decided to introduce a semifinal organized by the P4 radio into the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix, in which the three participants most voted by the listeners and two by the jury will obtain a place in the DMGP final. Last Monday the vote began, in which the Danes of each of the three regions into which the different participants have been divided could vote for their favorite participant from their respective region. The vote has remained open until today at 12 noon and we now have the results. The three candidates that participated in the region formed by the radio stations P4 Fyn, P4 Syd and P4 Trekanten were Jamie Talbot with “Bye Bye Heaven”, Kenny Duerlund with “Forget It All” and Nick Jones with the theme “2 AM”. Finally, the Danes belonging to this region have selected Kenny Duerlund as the first finalist of the DMGP 2020.

The three candidates participating in the region formed by the radio stations P4 Sjælland, P4 København and P4 Bornholm were SamSara with “For You”, Søren Okholm with “Impossible Dreamers” and Ben & Tan with “Yes”. Finally, the Danes belonging to this region have selected Ben & Tan as second finalist of the DMGP 2020.

Finally, the three candidates participating in the region formed by the radio stations P4 Nordjylland, P4 Midt & Vest and P4 Østjylland were Emil with “Ville ønske jeg havde kendt dig”, Sander Sanchez with “Screens” and MieLou and the song “We Could Be So Beautiful.” Finally, the Danes belonging to this region have selected Sander Sanchez as the third finalist of the DMGP 2020.

Now the jurors of the regions designated by the DR will have the opportunity to choose two of the songs not selected by the public and grant them a pass for the final. The participants selected by the jury will be announced on January 31, the same day they will also reveal the names of the 5 finalists chosen internally by the DR to participate in the DMGP final.
