Greece 2024: Marina Satti will sing “Zari” in the upcoming contest!

Since October 24th 2023 we know that Marina Satti will represent Greece in the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 in Malmö (Sweden), but since tonight we also know with which song, it is “Zari”!

About the Greek entry “Zari”

The song that Marina Satti will sing in the Eurovision Song Contest of 2024 is called “Zari”, and is composed by a great many different artists: Marina Satti, OGE, Gino the Ghost, Palmer Jordan Richard, Stolar Jay Lewit, Beshkov Konstantin Plamenov, Nick Kodonas, Vlospa and Solmeister.

This year’s Greek entry represents Greek culture like no other. Marina wants to show people a mix of modern and cultural traditions of Greece, this is also the reason why the music video has traditional and modern dancing at a variety of Greek monuments and landmarks. Marina really wants to embrace Greek culture with her song. The music of Zari is very much Greek, but also has hip-hop elements to it. The song is in the Greek-language, but also has English words scattered throughout.

About Marina Satti

Marina Satti was born on December 26th 1986. Marina comes from a very multicultural background, because she has a Greek mother and a father with a Sudanese and Arab background, yet Marina’s father was raised on the Greek island of Crete.

In the year 2016 Marina released her first single with the name “Koupes”. That following year she released a song with the name “Mantissa”, which reached number 1 in the Greek music charts. In 2022 marina released her critically acclaimed album “YENNA”.

When will Greece perform in Eurovision 2024?

Greece will perform in the first half of the second Semi-final of Eurovision 2024 on May 9th 2024.

Who represented Greece in Eurovision 2023?

In the contest of 2023 in Liverpool (UK) Greece was represented by Victor Vernicos. Unfortunately Victor did not do well, he ended 13th (of 16) in Semi-final 2.
