German broadcaster NDR has just issued a press release, announcing, that Germany will hold a national final, to determine who will represent the country at Eurovision 2015 in Vienna, Austria. The final, that will be called Unser Song für Österreich, will be held on March 5th at the TUI Arena in Hannover.
The procedure will be similar to this year’s national final. 8 artists will participate, with 7 of them being famous acts, who will be revealed in January 2015, and the last one being a wildcard chosen in the Clubkonzert, that will be held in Grosse Freiheit in Hamburg on February 19th. The Clubkonzert will consist of 10 artists, with the winner getting the wildcard to Unser Song für Österreich, and it will also be shown on NDR. The mentor of next year’s wildcard will be Andreas Bourani. Both Unser Song für Österreich and Clubkozert will be hosted by Barbara Schöneberger.
This year’s Clubkonzert wildcard winner, Elaiza, went on to win the national final as well and represented Germany in Copenhagen with the song Is It Right. They came 18th with 39 points.
