Eurovision Eurovision 2019 Germany

Germany: More national selection details on January 8th

The ARD entertainment coordinator Thomas Schreiber and ESC delegation leader Christoph Pellander have announced a live stream scheduled for January 8th.  It is expected that this is when we learn about dates for the preliminary rounds of the German national selection.

Fans can tune into the live stream and also submit a question in advance.  The live stream will be on eurovision.de and on the Facebook page. A video of the live stream will be made available at eurovision.de after the broadcast.

The artists competing to fly the German flag in Tel Aviv will be:

  • Aly Ryan
  • BB Thomaz
  • Gregor Hägele
  • Lilly Among Clouds
  • Linus Bruhn
  • Makeda Purple

Germany is coming off a very successful entry in Lisbon in which Michael Schulte placed 4th.   This was Germany’s best result since Lena’s victory in 2010.  Could this mean that German fans will approach this year’s selection with some renewed enthusiasm?  Check back with us on January 8th after we learn more details.
