Today Germany has announced 8 of the 9 acts that will compete in the German national final, “Unser Lied für Liverpool”. The 9th entrant will be chosen through a TikTok challenge.
Unser Lied für Liverpool
The national broadcaster of Germany, ARD, has made the names and songs public of 8 out of 9 entrants that will compete in the national final of this country. This national final will take place live on March 3rd 2023 at 22:20 CET. Below you can find a list with the acts.

9th act through TikTok challenge
The 9th act that will compete in the German national final will be chosen through a TikTok challenge. The public can now vote for this 9th act until February 9th 2023. The results of the TikTok challenge will be made public in an online show with the name “Alles Eurovision”, which can be viewed on Eurovision.de on February 4th 2023 at 18:00 CET.
You can also vote for your TikTok favourite and make sure that this artist makes it to the German national final. You can vote on TikTok, but you do need your own TikTok account to vote. You can vote only 1 time per day. You can vote by clicking here.

More details about the German national final
The German national final, also known as “Unser Lied für Liverpool” (trans. “Our Song for Liverpool”) will be held on March 3rd 2023 at 22:20 CET in the MMC Studios in the German city of Cologne. Host of the evening will be Barbara Schöneberger, and the show will be broadcast live on the German national broadcaster, ARD, and online on Eurovision.de
Before the national final there will be a warm-up show which starts at 21:20 CET on the TV channel, Das Erste, and there will be backstage videos on the ARD TikTok account.
Eurovision 2022
In the contest of 2022 Malik Harris competed for Germany with the song “Rockstars”; Germany ended in 25th position in the Grand Final, thus last. Germany is one of the Big Five countries, and does not have to compete in any of the Semi-finals of the contest.
