Finland: Saara Aalto reveals “Domino”, her second bidding track for Lisbon

The second… out of three! Viewers will select the singer’s entry for Lisbon on March 3

The first out of the three songs that will compete to fly the Finnish colours at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest has already been presented. Saara Aalto has been working hard on having three potential entries in order to let the viewers choose which of them fits her best to represent the nation at the biggest music competition in the world.

The second tune is called “Domino” and has been written by Saara herself alongside Thomas G:son, Bobby Ljunggren, Johnny Sanchez, Will Taylor and Nancy Aurakoivisto. You can give it a listen below:

“All three songs are so great that any of them could be a winner, all having really strong themes and memorable melodies. I think everyone will find their own favourite and the 3 March show will be a very tight contest”, the singer revealed.

ONE MORE TRACK

Aalto will present another potential Eurovision song on February 23rd. All three entries will be performed during a special edition of UMK (Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu) on the 3rd of March at Espoo’s Metro Arena, where the Finnish contest has been taking place for a few of the previous editions of the national selection. The show will be aired on YLE 1 from 18:00 (CET) – 19:00 local time.

Former Spice Girls member Melanie C will be the guest star performing in the event, whom Aalto already perform with during last year’s Manchester Pride. Both will go on stage together again, as Saara revealed feeling super excited to repeat and share the moment with Melanie.

Last year, Finland did not manage to make it through to Saturday’s grand final with the brilliant and touching ballad of Norma John’s Blackbird. Will the country of snow and rock music get to achieve Eurovision glory again with Saara Aalto?

Finland was allocated to perform at the first semi-final of this year’s Eurovision Song Contest in Lisbon on May 8th during the Semi-Final Allocation Draw.
