Legendary 2018 Cypriot entrant, Eleni Foureira, who came in second (of 26) in the Grand Final in Lisbon (Portugal) has given her first interview after the birth of her son. During this interview she answered the question whether we can expect to see her again in the contest.
Representing Greece
The answer to the question whether Eleni would want to return to the contest in the future was “yes, but she would like to represent her home country, Greece”. Next to this, Eleni answered that she wants to be asked by the Greek selection committee of the ERT, the Greek national broadcaster.
The contest of 2021
Eleni was asked to represent Greece in the contest of 2021 in Rotterdam (the Netherlands), but at the time she did not want to compete again, because she thought the time span between her first entry and the next was not long enough; she wanted to grow more before competing again.
Het Grote Songfestivalfeest 2023
Eleni Foureira will perform during “Het Grote Songfestivalfeest 2023” (trans. “The Grand Song Contest Party 2023”) in Amsterdam (the Netherlands) on November 16th 2023. This concert, featuring Eurovision contestants, of many different years is an annual Eurovision mainstay in the Netherlands.
