The national broadcaster of the United Kingdom, BBC, and the organizers of the Eurovision Song Contest 2023, will work together with several cities in the UK to create all sorts of Fan Zones.
Eurovision Fan Zones
In an interview with the local magazine/newspaper “Liverpool Echo”, the Managing Director of Eurovision, Martin Green, revealed that there will be meetings with several cities in the UK to create special Eurovision Fan Zones.
Martin Green stated the following:
“What we’re currently doing is talking to a number of towns and cities across the UK about whether they want to join in and show it. The proximity of the other major event this year, the King’s Coronation, is helpful here because some cities may want to do things that cover the two at once.”– by Martin Green, Managing Director of the Eurovision Song Contest 2023
In Liverpool the site “Pier Head” will function as the place of the annual host city Eurovision Village; the place where parties will be held, thousands of fans can come to celebrate the contest, and where Eurovision and other types of performers will take the stage.
The Eurovision Song Contest 2023 will be held on May 9th, 11th, and 13th 2023 in Liverpool, United Kingdom. 37 countries will take the stage during the 2023 edition of the contest.
