The city of Manchester did not get to organize this year’s Eurovision Song Contest, but Manchester is planning to become grand part of the Eurovision celebrations and jubilations this year.

The city of Manchester is in talks to celebrate the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 in Liverpool (UK), and Manchester wants to be part of all the Eurovision festivities.
The Manchester Council’s City Centre spokesperson, Pat Karney, stated the following:
“Manchester has a huge Eurovision fanbase. We are currently talking to the BBC about how we can celebrate the great event with our neighbours in Liverpool”, “We will be having some celebration”.

Greater Manchester
The Greater Manchester area has a special place in the UK’s Eurovision delegation. The official home of the United Kingdom’s Eurovision Delegation is in Salford, in the Headquarters of the BBC, the British national broadcaster. Before this headquarters was in the capital city of the United Kingdom, London.
Next to this, the city of Manchester was one of the seven cities that remained on the shortlist when it came down to the host city of Eurovision 2023.
So, maybe there is a special place for Manchester in this year’s Eurovision festivities.

The Eurovision Song Contest 2023 will be held in the city of Liverpool (UK) on May 9th, 11th, and 13th 2023. 37 countries will take the stage during this year’s contest.
