Today the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 logo and slogan have been revealed. The slogan is “United by Music” and the logo is a colourful depiction of ongoing hearts that beat one after another.
The logo and slogan have been revealed ahead of the Semi-final Allocation Draw and Handover Ceremony which will take place tomorrow, January 31st 2023 at 20:00 CET.
Semi-final Allocation Draw & Handover Ceremony
The venue of this year’s Semi-final Allocation Draw and Handover Ceremony, St. George’s Hall, in the city of Liverpool is decorated with the brand-new logo and slogan, thus there was no reason to longer withhold the new logo and slogan.
The 2023 logo
The logo, and especially the colours of the logo, evoke a Ukrainian feel, as there is a clear use of the colours of the Ukrainian flag, which are yellow and blue. Next to these two colours, one can also distinguish pink and black in the logo, which makes this 2023 theme art very vibrant. Somehow the logo also commemorates the 2017 logo, when Ukraine hosted the Eurovision Song Contest in Kyiv.
The 2023 slogan
The slogan is very clear, because “United by Music” says it all; the bond between Ukraine and the United Kingdom when it comes down to the UK stepping in to host a Ukraine-inspired contest on British soil. Ukraine is fighting a war against Russia. One year a week Europe, and far beyond, is united by music, so the slogan is a perfect fit.
