Last week singer Noa Kirel was announced by the Israeli National Broadcaster, KAN, as the Eurovision 2023 representative of this country. Plot twist! Noa did not say “yes” yet to being the Israeli participant.
Noa Kirel did not say “yes” yet
During a radio interview Noa Kirel stated that she was chosen, but did not say “yes” yet. Noa is still coming to terms with the fact that the Israeli broadcaster chose her out of more than 75 different acts. Next to this, she stated that she will decide together with her (management) team if she will be Israel’s 2023 participant. She also stated that she is really honored that she was chosen to represent her country.
Figuring out Noa’s contract
There have been rumors that Noa Kirel’s management is figuring out the contract for a possible participation of the singer in the contest of 2023. The contract negotiations need to be according to the likings of all parties involved, and that can take time before all things are said, written, and done.
Noa Kirel was chosen internally by a committee consisting out of 10 members that were chosen by the Israeli National broadcaster. 75 acts were presented to the committee, and one of the main focus points was to have acts in the pool of candidates that have proven experience with performing live in front of grand audience. Noa fit the bill perfectly.
