Eurovision 2017: Take a look at stage design!

Public Broadcasting Service of Ukraine NTU has just presented what the stage will be looking like at the International Exhibition Centre in Kiev in May for this year’s Eurovision Song Contest.

The stage, which was left in hands of Florian Wieder, which was also involved with the same task in 2011 in Düsseldorf, 2012 in Baku and 2015 in Vienna. “The concept has a circular footprint, which exemplifies the theme for the contest this year; celebrating diversity. The design for 2017 symbolises Ukraine being the centre of Europe in May and allows fans to be as close to the performers as possible. The dynamic stage design, which incorporates multiple media surfaces, will create a unique setting for each act, allowing every performer to shine on the night”, Eurovision.tv reports.

The stage design was already leaked a few hours ago but nothing else had trascended but the initials in the upper part of one of the draws. There you have a couple of pictures more of it:

Wieder has a long career creating sets and stages for music TV programs such as Got Talent, The X Factor, big concerts or contests such as Bundesvision Song Contest in Germany or the MTV Video Music Awards and European Music Awards. This all, apart from his Eurovision contributions, shot his work to stardom in the business. Check out some of Wieder’s artwork by clicking and visiting his official site HERE.

This looks exciting and promising, will Kiev be able to put together a great show? It looks like the first step is now complete, so stay tuned for more details from the Ukrainian broadcaster and its preparations for the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 in Kiev on May 9, 11 and 13.
