From Azerbaijan we head to Greece. Greece debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1974 in Brighton, since then they have participated in the contest 35 times. This year Greece are represented by Maria Elena Kyriakou with the song “One Last Breath”

Greece’s best result came in 2005 when Helena Paparizou won the contest with the song “My Number One”, she scored 230 points. Last year however Greece had their joint worst result in the history of their participation, Freaky Fortune feat. RiskyKidd finished 20th in the final with their song “Rise Up”, scoring just 35 points.

On the Eurojury today is Barrice. Barrice who was born in Georgia, grew up in Greece, he emerged onto the music scene in 2012 and has to date released three singles. His song “Ela” was one of five songs to compete in this years Greek selection, he finished in fourth place in the selection.

Here are the points from Greece:

  1. Italy – 12 points
  2. Australia – 10 points
  3. Russia – 8 points
  4. Belarus – 7 points
  5. Switzerland – 6 points
  6. Albania – 5 points
  7. Germany – 4 points
  8. Georgia – 3 points
  9. France – 2 points
  10. Austria – 1 point

So after the Greek results Switzerland, Georgia and France have now all picked up their first points. This leaves the top.5 as:

  1. Italy – 35 points
  2. Russia – 30 points
  3. Sweden – 27 points
  4. Australia – 23 points
  5. Iceland – 20 points
