From one B we head to another, Belgium. Belgium will be represented at this years Eurovision Song Contest by Loïc Nottet with the song “Rhythm Inside”.

Belgium was one of first seven countries to participate in the Eurovision Song Contest back in 1956. It took Belgium until 1986 for Belgium to win the contest for the first time, it was Sandra Kim with the song “J’aime la vie” who won it with a total of 176 points. In past decade Belgium has only made it to the final on two occasions in 2010 and 2013.

On the Eurojury today are:

  • Axeela – Participated in Eurosong 2014 with the song “Chasing Rainbows”, she was knocked out of the competition at the semi final stage.
  • Lisa del Bo – Represented Belgium at the Eurovision Song Contest 1996 with the song “Liefde is een kaartspel”, she finished 16th in Oslo.
  • Tisha Cyrus – Participated in Eurosong 2014 with the song “Kitty Cat”, she was knocked out of the competition in the semi final stage.
  • Yass – Participated in Eurosong 2014 with the song “Need You Tonight”, he finished 4th out of 7 artists in the final.

Here are the results of the Belgian vote:

  1. Australia – 12 points
  2. The Netherlands – 10 points
  3. Iceland – 8 points
  4. Albania – 7 points
  5. Russia – 6 points
  6. Sweden – 5 points
  7. Hungary – 4 points
  8. Norway – 3 points
  9. Georgia – 2 points
  10. Latvia – 1 point

So after those points, the top.5 now looks like this:

  1. Australia – 71 points
  2. Russia – 46 points
  3. Italy – 46 points
  4. Sweden – 42 points
  5. Iceland – 31 points
