So Emin has teamed up again with Ukrainan mega star – Ani Lorak to release new single Я не могу сказать (I Can Not Tell You).
Both artists are very big in the Russian music market, and this isn’t the first time that they have teamed up to sing together. You may or may not know that they teamed up in 2014 for song Зови Меня, which is on Emin’s 2014 album titled “Науистоту” , and you can see a live performance from Baku, Azerbaijan, of that song below.
This new song, Я не могу сказать – seems to have been given a much bigger deal however, the two power houses seemingly very excited about singing together again. The song was written by a massive Russian producer, Maxim Fadeev, who is also currently working with Russian girl band, Serebro, who which one member Olga Seryabkina also collaborated on the writing of the track. In a interview released with the song, Fadeev reveals that in a conversation with Emin, that the Azerbaijani singer had been “talking about one of his past loves, whom he still thinks about a lot and whom he still cares for deeply, and the story he was telling me was very capturing“.
Ani Lorak, who represented Ukraine at Eurovision in 2008 with song “Shady Lady” (came 2nd behind Russia), reveals that Emin called her himself to invite her to sing with him on the track, and adds “I listened to the words and agreed immediately. I felt the lyrics were sincere, which is something that is very important to me and I think it turned out beautifully”.
Upon release on October 18th, it went straight to the top the iTunes charts in many countries, including Azerbaijan, Belarus Kazakhstan Russia and Ukraine.
