We have a running order! The European Broadcasting Union and the host broadcaster ORF have revealed the official running order of the grand final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2026, which will take place this Saturday, May 16, from 21:00 CEST at the Wiener Stadthalle in Vienna. Following their usual strategy, the announcement was officially made overnight on their social media channels, specifically at 02:02 CEST.

The performance order for Austria (25th), as the host country of the event, was determined through a draw held in March during the Heads of Delegation meeting of the European Broadcasting Union. For the remaining countries, both the finalists from the semi-finals and the Big 4 (Germany, France, Italy, and the United Kingdom), the draw also determined the half of the grand final in which they will perform.

With the changes introduced in Eurovision Song Contest 2024 in Malmö, six spots were drawn for the first half, another six for the second half, and the remaining 12 were left in the hands of the producers, under the category known as ‘Producer’s Choice’. In this latter case, the artists are placed in the running order according to the producers’ criteria, and may be assigned to either the first or the second half of the show.

Finally, the organizers of the Eurovision Song Contest determine the running order of the grand final based on artistic criteria, with the aim of creating an appealing television show. In addition, the technical complexity of each performance has been taken into account, in order to streamline stage changes during the live broadcast.
